Light Bulb Challenge
We flick a switch and expect light instantly. The Light Bulb Challenge reveals what it actually takes to generate that energy.
Participants pedal to power both LED and incandescent bulbs, which can be switched on independently. By comparing modern low energy lighting with traditional incandescent lamps, the difference in power demand can be felt directly in the legs.
Simple and immediate, the challenge turns an everyday action into a physical experience. Participants generate the electricity themselves and see the results live, creating a clear understanding of energy use and efficiency.
Suitable for festivals, schools, corporate environments and public engagement events where energy use and sustainability are part of the conversation.
